Occassionally some of the NAV Metadata gets damaged and you may want to rebuild/recompile all of the NAV Objects as a first step in troubleshooting this issue. The problem is that there are a few system objects that you can't get to through the object designer. So how can you recompile them as well? Well there is a trick that should do it, as I will explain below in the following Step-by-Step instructions.

When Microsoft added a Web Services interface to Dynamics NAV with the 2009 release, it took a huge step forward in allowing other applications to be integrated with NAV. Additional improvements have been added with the SP1 and R2 releases. But the question that continues to come up with end users is "What can I do with the NAV Web Services or more specifically, what can they do for me?". I am going to give you my top 10 list but please understand that this just scratches the surface of the capabilities allowed by the NAV Web Services.

Re: Microsoft and Skype
Isn't this just great: there is already an add-in available for Skype calling through the NAV Role Tailored Client.

Re: MS Auto Bill Pay starting April 1st 2011
Bradley,
You have a way with words. Not sure Microsoft would want you writing their brohcures though. Quoted above "Customers need to pay the Microsoft Enhancement before the due date or face repercussions." Face Repurcussions is definitely a politically incorrect way of saying no grace periods are allowed for being late any longer. In other words the penalty for being late on enhancement kicks in immediately. I am glad that it is only a monetary penalty. We could have to sign over our fist born to enslavement or something.

Re: NAV 2009 Keyboard Short Cut Keys
The one that is always missing in these kind of shortcut lists is the ALT + DOWN ARROW for drop down/ lookup, which is a very smart alternative for F6 in the classic client but also as alternative for F4 in RTC
