ABS recommends that you backup your entire database when performing a Classic NAV Database.  This will ensure that all data relating to the database including Application Objects, Data Common to all Companies, and Company data will be contained in the backup file.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV has the functionality to record various types of transactions that recur on a regular basis.  The purpose of a Recurring Journal is to post a transaction that has little or no changes. Recurring Journals create entries which are commonly used to record repetitive invoices such as rent, utility bills, to record allocation entries or to assist with recording monthly payroll.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 has a new feature that allows a user to link documents to specified records.  The documents should be placed in a Shared Folder so that anyone with access to the NAV record would also have access to any linked documents.
