Dynamics NAV provides a system to track data changes by the user in the database. To setup change log you will need to be knowledgeable of the Object Designer and the Tables and Fields within those tables that you wish to track.  It is suggested that you use the Change Log especially for Setup tables where data integrity is key since a change in some of these tables can affect how the system works.
